MUNFORD COUGARS

                                  Nick Markle will be entering into his third year as the Cougars'                                     Defensive Coordinator.  He has a twelve-year coaching career,                                     seven of those as a Defensive Coordinator. Coach Markle was                                       also the Defensive Coordinator of the North team in the 2015                                       West Tennessee All-Star game. Along with his coordinating                                         duties, Coach Markle also coaches the defensive secondary. He                                     was the position coach of the 2015 Shelby-Metro Leader in                                           interceptions, Garrett Baugh. Coach Markle has also been the position coach of one Mr. Football Lineman winner and one Mr. Football Lineman finalist. He was the head coach of a middle school program that went undefeated and won the 2010 Shelby-Tipton Small School Championship. He was also an assistant coach on the 2009 1A State Championship team. He is married to Ally Markle, who works in donor engagement for ALSAC/St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
